Award: Data Centers and Energy

Requirements: JFETF provides awards to support education, research, and community awareness related to data centers, energy use, and their environmental impacts. This award may support projects that examine electricity demand, water use, cooling methods, land use, air quality, wildlife habitats, nearby schools and residences, zoning and approval processes, public involvement, stream conditions, or other environmental concerns connected to data centers and energy development. The goal of this award is to support independent research and public understanding of how large-scale energy and data center projects affect local communities, natural resources, and the environment. Recipients may be asked to share their work through a written article, presentation, demonstration, or other public-facing format.
