Details: The dissemination of accurate information plays a huge role in encouraging people to participate in environmental protection. The recipients of this scholarship will work with the Rappahannock Group of the Sierra Club and will learn about environmental concerns by attending events and meetings. They will share the knowledge they gain in articles in the group’s newsletter, which is posted on their website. They will also assist with spreading information about the Sierra Club and environmental issues by setting up and maintaining an Instagram account for the club and helping with tabling at events such as the Youth Climate Conference. In addition, they will help plan and participate in events, such as the annual Fredericksburg Earth Day.
